Bandai Namco’s US branch has just recently filed a trademark for “Slashy Souls”. The patent is documented to be game software. The patent makes mention of home computers, consoles, and mobile devices. Most fans are assuming that this is a Dark Souls iOS/Android app…which would be sort of neat.
I’m not all for iOS/Android games for the mobile future, but, a short game for the commute to work would be absolutely awesome. Or, perhaps that this is some sort of companion app for some spin-off game? Regardless, it could be cool. I’d rather not see a companion app, as they’re nothing but a mess at launch and hardly get fixed. Also, it would not fix Dark Souls nature.
