The DarkSoulsGame.Tumblr page is hosting a contest! The contest is for the community to create an epic trailer for the upcoming Dark Souls title using Dark Souls 1 and Dark Souls 2 footage. How cool is that?

In order to be qualified for this task, you must use the assets that the tumblr page provides or footage you have captured yourself. Using anyone else’s footage is stealing. The trailer must be under five minutes and uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, or any other video sharing website, and must be named “My Dark Souls Story”. As soon as the video has been uploaded, you must share the video URL to “[email protected]” (send them an email of your video). Please note, the tumblr page recommends the the video should be of the highest quality, 720p or 1080p.

The video trailer contest starts December 23, 2015 at 10:00 AM pacific time, and ends on January 26, 2016 at 11:59 PM pacific time.In order to enter the contest, you must be 18 years or older, a resident of the United States, and cannot be a professional video editor. Entries are limited to one per person.

As far as prizes go, there are several of them! Obviously, the grand prize is $10,000. The Runner up prize winner will receive a Red-Knight statue, and the three third place winners will receive a Lord of Cinder statue.

Here are the step-by-step guidelines…:

You must use the Dark Souls video assets as seen from here, or your own recorded footage.

The trailer must be under five minutes, and be of the highest quality (720p or 1080p).

The video title must be called “My Dark Souls Story”.

The video must be uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, or any other video sharing site.

Your video is to have an explanation in the description that is two-three sentences.

In order to enter the contest, you must send the link to “[email protected]”

You must be 18 years or older, and a resident of the United States.

Contest starts December 23, 2015 at 10:00 AM pacific time. Your video MUST be entered in by January 26, 2016 by 11:59 PM pacific time.
