RUMOR: Dark Souls 3 to be announced at E3, Hidetaka Miyazaki directing.

Well, this is a bit of a surprise. Apparently at VG247, a new FromSoftware game is going to be announced on stage. That game will be Dark Souls 3, with Hidetaka Miyazaki directing.

While this may be cool and all, I don’t think its all that true. Mr.Miyazaki just finished his rounds with Bloodborne, and is expected to be working on the expansion. Not only that, but Dark Souls II had literally just finished their DLC content, and the in-house remaster of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin released last month. There would have to have been some serious crunch time in between all of that in order to just start pre-production on Dark Souls 3.

What I’m saying is, don’t get your hopes up. I’m sure the game is in development, but its definitely way too early to tell. We may just happen to get a Dark Souls 3 CG trailer. As for the President of FromSoftware to direct the game? I’d assume he would be supervising again, to be honest. I’m pretty sure with the success of Bloodborne, Sony will not lose their precious demon soul again and will move onwards with a sequel after the expansion, with the same director taking helm.

Yet again…It could be possible that Mr.Miyazaki happens to be directing both the next Bloodborne, and Dark Souls 3.
